A single-vehicle crash took place at a Hialeah gas station last Friday, resulting in a car overturning and catching fire. According to WSVN, the Hialeah Police Department reported that the vehicle was traveling eastbound on 900 E. 49th St. when it lost control, collided with a gas pump, struck a column, and flipped over, causing a fire.
Surveillance footage from HHM Autos shows the vehicle catching fire shortly after the collision, Local 10 reports. The driver, whose identity has not been released, was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center and is in stable condition. A police spokesperson stated that no arrests have been made and that the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Authorities are investigating the crash, and police are highlighting the dangers of high-speed and reckless driving, especially near gas stations. They have also advised drivers to exercise caution on the roads.
