Starting the week of January 12, crews will conduct additional exploratory work on and around the US-70 Roosevelt Bridge over Lake Texoma. This work is not the start of construction but is intended to gather information to help engineers plan the project, according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
Drivers and lake visitors may see crews on the lake banks and large barges with drilling equipment in the water. Crews are expected to remain in the area through February, as per the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
US-70 will stay open, and no major delays or closures are anticipated. Boaters should watch for barges and keep a safe distance, and project updates are available at www.RooseveltBridge.com.
