An early morning altercation in Salt Lake City escalated into gunfire, resulting in one fatality and one person taken into police custody. The Salt Lake City Police Department was called to the scene near 750 S. 1300 East, a short distance from East High School, following reports of a shooting at approximately 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
