
Last night in the Mission District, a fatal shooting occurred at the intersection of 16th and San Bruno Avenue. The incident, which took place at approximately 9:42 PM, drew an urgent response from city law enforcement following reports of gunfire, as per the San Francisco Police Department.
Officers who arrived at the scene found one individual with a gunshot wound; in an effort to save their life, first responders administered CPR until paramedics took over with advanced lifesaving measures. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead. The SFPD Homicide Detail quickly took charge of the investigation.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending family notification, and SFPD has not provided details regarding potential suspects or motives. The department is reaching out to the community for help and urges anyone with information to come forward. In their press statement, the San Francisco Police Department advised, "Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD at 1-415-575-4444 or Text-A-Tip to TIP411, beginning the message with 'SFPD'."
