
A 49-year-old Hialeah man, Jose Manuel Gonzalez, has been charged with kidnapping and domestic battery after allegedly abducting his girlfriend near West 27th Avenue and 52nd Street. Authorities arrested him last Saturday following a 911 call from a witness who saw Gonzalez forcibly push the woman into a vehicle, as reported by WSVN.
Gonzalez appeared in court on Sunday, where a judge denied him bond, keeping him in jail. The victim, Natalie Garcia Merim, was later found unharmed.
"The Hialeah Police Department extends its sincere gratitude to the community for their vigilance and assistance during this investigation," declared Chief of Police George Fuente, according to NBC Miami. A community member’s 911 call helped police find a woman who had been taken and led to the arrest of 49-year-old Jose Manuel Gonzalez, who faces charges of kidnapping and domestic battery. The investigation is ongoing.
