A 44-year-old Hialeah man, identified as Gabriel Pena, was arrested Tuesday on allegations of repeatedly stalking a former business associate and secretly attaching a tracking device to the associate’s vehicle. The alleged harassment stems from a business relationship that soured, with the victim reportedly owing Pena $200,000.
According to police statements cited by Local 10, the dispute led to a series of unwelcome encounters, with Pena allegedly showing up uninvited at locations frequented by the victim to demand repayment. One such incident occurred on December 4, 2025, when an intrusion alert was triggered by an unidentified individual in the victim’s driveway, captured on security cameras as a male wearing a black Gymshark outfit.
As per NBC Miami, the victim later received an alert indicating a tracking device had been attached to his vehicle. Investigators said the device was traced to Pena after the last four digits of his phone number were found on it. The situation escalated Tuesday when the victim reported seeing Pena knocking on his door. Doral police arrested Pena while he was attempting to leave the gated community, noting that he was wearing clothing consistent with what was seen in earlier surveillance footage.
The arrest report states that Pena continued to harass the victim on multiple occasions, despite the victim’s preference to resolve the financial dispute through civil court. Authorities determined that his actions were repeated and intrusive, causing significant distress for the victim and his family, according to Local 10. As of Wednesday, Pena remained in custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, facing charges including aggravated stalking, installing a tracking device without consent, and trespassing, with bond set at $500.
