The City of Janesville will begin sewer rehabilitation work at various locations throughout the city starting the week of January 26. This project is part of the City of Janesville’s annual utility maintenance program and is expected to continue through the end of April 2026.
Visu-Sewer, Inc. of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, has been contracted to complete the work, which includes cleaning sewer mains and installing a cured-in-place lining to extend their lifespan. This trenchless technology minimizes disruption, though residents may notice temporary steam during the curing process as materials cool, as reported by the City of Janesville.
Traffic will be maintained throughout construction, but lane restrictions may occur as needed. For more information, contact the City of Janesville Engineering Division at (608) 755-3172.
