Last Friday, a house on Colony View Drive in Lake Worth Beach caught fire, with smoke and flames coming from the kitchen, CBS12 reports. The residents evacuated with several of their pets, while two dogs and a cat remained inside.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue was alerted and quickly responded to the scene. Firefighters entered the kitchen, which was filled with flames and heavy smoke, to fight the fire and search for the trapped animals, according to a Facebook post by PBC Fire Rescue.
The firefighters were able to rescue the two dogs and one cat, all of which were unharmed. The homeowner and pets are now safe, and no human injuries were reported in the incident. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, as PBCFR examines the remains to determine what led to the incident.
