
An early-morning crash on DuSable Lake Shore Drive near Soldier Field left a woman dead and four others hospitalized Sunday, according to Chicago police.
The collision happened around 2:21 a.m. in the 2500 block of South DuSable Lake Shore Drive. Police said the driver lost control, and the vehicle slammed into a pole and the center median. Multiple people in the car were taken to nearby hospitals.
What Officials Said
As reported by ABC7 Chicago, the woman was rushed to the University of Chicago Hospital, where she later died from her injuries. The driver and three other passengers were also taken to UChicago and are expected to survive, according to the station.
Authorities have not released any identifying details about the victim.
