Destrehan drivers should prepare for long-term construction affecting key roads. Jonathan Street is closed indefinitely, with emergency vehicles rerouted via Bunge’s heavy haul road, while Ormond Center Court requires a detour between Reginelli’s and Buddy’s Frostop, according to the St. Charles Parish.
LA 3127 will have alternating lane closures from the St. James Parish line to the St. Charles Parish line from November 2025 to October 2026, weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting. Oversized loads over 12 feet must follow a detour via LA 3213, LA 641, I-10, and I-310 to bypass the construction zone, as reported by the St. Charles Parish.
Utility work on LA 3127 and LA 3160 will cause lane and shoulder closures from December 2025 to February 2026. On LA 3127, closures between I-310 and LA 3142 will happen weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. LA 3160 will have similar closures in both directions between LA 3127 and the Railroad Crossing.
