Miami Beach firefighters were dispatched for a less typical emergency call — a puppy stuck beneath a building and entangled in plumbing. According to a post on Miami Beach Fire Department's Facebook page, Engine 2 arrived on the scene prepared to manage a confined space rescue. The crew navigated the crawl space beneath the building and released the young dog from its leash's grip on the pipes.
Upon the successful extraction of the puppy, "The pup was turned over to Miami Beach Police, and Animal Services was contacted to make sure he’s well taken care of," per the Facebook statement from the fire department. The team's careful approach ensured the safety of the animal throughout the rescue operation, confirming that no harm was done in the midst of panic.

Officials and the photos reveal that the puppy became trapped when its leash got caught around the building’s plumbing. After carefully entering the crawl space, firefighters were able to detangle the leash and safely free the dog. The puppy, unharmed, was then reunited with its owner.
