The Miami Hurricanes have arrived at the Fontainebleau Hotel on Miami Beach ahead of the College Football Playoff National Championship. Fans gathered to support the team as players were escorted by police buses to Hard Rock Stadium for Monday’s game against the Indiana Hoosiers, WSVN reported.
Miami, with a 7-1 regular season home record, is considered the underdog for the matchup. Canes wide receiver CJ Daniels told WSVN the team plans to stay focused and handle adversity, while quarterback Carson Beck said the squad is concentrating on their teammates and coaches rather than the odds.
Coach Mario Cristobal emphasized maintaining the team’s usual routine, with the Miami Herald reporting that he appreciated the consistency of checking into a hotel and preparing as usual.
The game will also feature Indiana quarterback and 2025 Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza. The Hurricanes will play on their home field with strong fan support in attendance.
