The Miami Police Department is currently conducting an investigation following the discovery of a person's body found floating in Biscayne Bay. According to NBC Miami, the body was spotted in the water near Northeast 5th Avenue and Northeast 27th Street today.
As the scene unfolded, Sky 10 captured aerial footage of the body still adrift, as observed by two boats in proximity. Found believed to be an adult, and possibly a white male, the identity and circumstances surrounding the individual's death remain uncertain.
Details at this time are sparse, as the investigation is very much so active. Officer Kiara Delva, speaking on the matter, indicated to Local 10 that information regarding the cause of death or any potential foul play is yet to be discerned. "The body appeared to be that of a white adult male," Delva stated, confirming at least preliminary observations about the deceased.
The Miami Police urge the community to come forward with any information that could be pertinen. Further updates will be provided as the investigation endures and new information surfaces.
