The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office reminded residents on Facebook to avoid driving under the influence during New Year’s celebrations. They encouraged using a designated driver or taking advantage of free bus rides from Molson Coors. Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office's Post stated: "Friendly reminder, folks: If you’re drinking alcohol tonight in Milwaukee County, on impairing prescription drugs (or, God forbid, things you’ve acquired from a sidewalk pharmacist…which we don’t condone, for obvious reasons!) , please use a #designateddriver or when you’re done celebrating, take a free bus ride, courtesy of #MolsonCoors. We promise, you don’t want a ride from us."
The Milwaukee County Transit System extended service on several major routes until 4 a.m. after New Year’s Eve, including Bayshore, Mayfair Mall, and the airport. Riders can find more details and plan their trip on the transit system’s website.
