On Wednesday, a coordinated strike by law enforcement descended upon the streets of San Francisco, targeting the clandestine market of illegal narcotics. According to a news release from the San Francisco Police Department, the operation culminated in the arrest of eight adult suspects. The suspects, whose identities remain undisclosed pending charges, were allegedly engaged in the street-level sale of substances such as fentanyl, cocaine base, and methamphetamine.
The bust resulted in the seizure of more than half a kilogram of various narcotics, tallied at a substantial 558.1 grams. Officers also confiscated two loaded firearms from a pair of the suspects, prompting additional weapons charges. Furthermore, the operation brought together a multi-agency force that included SFPD officers from the DMACC Enforcement Team and the SFPD Narcotics Unit, as well as the San Francisco Sheriff's Office, the FBI, the DEA, and the California National Guard.
