A statement released by the Mt. Juliet Police Department detailed the incident, reporting that officers were able to promptly establish a perimeter and initiate a successful search through the surrounding neighborhood and wooded areas.

The individual, a 38-year-old man from Hermitage, was not only evading the traffic stop but also was wanted for multiple offenses across three different counties. Despite his efforts to quickly run away from the authorities, he couldn't avoid being apprehended. Once arrested, he was found to be driving on a suspended license and in possession of fentanyl, a dangerous Schedule II drug.
According to the police department's social media post, the suspect had a history of legal troubles, including probation violations related to the unlawful possession of a firearm and methamphetamine in Davidson County. He was also wanted in Williamson County for probation violations associated with the possession of Schedule II drugs and theft. In Wilson County, his record included a failure to appear charge for driving on a suspended license. The concerted efforts of the Mt. Juliet police officers and supporting agencies were highlighted by the department, with praise for their swift response in the apprehension of the man. "We're grateful for the quick response of our officers and the support of assisting agencies," the department stated. "Their efforts help ensure that those who attempt to flee are apprehended and held accountable, keeping Mt. Juliet safe."
Ultimately, the suspect was booked into the Wilson County Jail, facing charges for evading arrest, possession of a Schedule II drug, and driving on a suspended license.
