
Early this morning, a residential structure on Oakhaven Drive in Murfreesboro was engulfed in flames, prompting a quick response from the local Fire Rescue Department. According to a social media post from the department, firefighters were dispatched just before 8:00 a.m., arriving to find smoke and flames billowing from the attic area of the home.
Acting with urgency, firefighters managed swiftly to get the fire under control and extinguish the flames. Despite the potential danger of the situation, the occupants of the home, along with their pets, were reported to have safely self-evacuated before the firefighting crews arrived on the scene, and fortunately, no injuries were reported. The fire crews that responded to the call included L6, L4, L1, R4, BC1, BC2, S1, and S2.
In the aftermath of the fire, the American Red Cross was promptly contacted to assist the affected family. The organization is recognized for its humanitarian efforts and swift mobilization in response to disasters, assisting those in need. The involvement of the American Red Cross was a crucial step to ensure the family received immediate support and relief.
