A fatal crash on Una Antioch Pike at Piccadilly Row yesterday evening has resulted in the death of a local woman, as reported by the Nashville Police. Pamela Cruz, 26, was identified as the driver of a Toyota Corolla involved in the crash that happened at around 5:45 p.m.
According to details released by the Nashville Police Department, Cruz was attempting a left turn when her vehicle was struck by a Mercedes C300, travelling westbound on Una Antioch Pike at a "high rate of speed." The force of the collision caused Cruz's car to impact with a Nissan Altima, that, was behind her.
Rescue teams transported Cruz to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead. The occupants of the Mercedes and the Nissan received treatment for non-life threatening injuries at the same medical facility. Investigations at the crash scene found no evidence of alcohol or drug impairment. As investigations continue, no charges have been filed at this time.
