
A serious incident took place on Friday night in Northeast El Paso, where a two-vehicle crash left at least one person with significant injuries. As per KTSM, emergency crews arrived at the scene around 9:25 p.m. at the intersection of McCombs Street and Sweetwater Drive, following which the El Paso Fire Department confirmed that they had transported one person to the hospital under code 3 conditions, indicating serious injuries.
The extent of the injuries was such that the El Paso Police Department’s Special Traffic Investigation unit was called to the scene to initiate an in-depth probe into the crash. Although the official alert was sent out around midnight on Jan. 17, precise details on the number of individuals harmed in the accident have not yet been disclosed, according to KVIA.
As the Special Traffic Investigations Unit worked through the early hours to unravel the series of events that caused the crash, many questions remain unanswered. To date, the El Paso Police Department has not released any information regarding the cause of the crash or the condition of the injured persons beyond the initial acknowledgment of serious injuries sustained.
Meanwhile, residents are awaiting further updates from the Special Traffic Investigations Unit, which is still actively investigating the incident. Despite the inquiries made by KFOX-TV, no additional details have been made available thus far about the total number of people involved or the cause of the incident.
