She has endorsed Sharry Kimmel, a Parkland educator, to succeed her. During her tenure on the board, Alhadeff played a key role in initiatives to enhance school safety. "Alyssa's Law," which she helped introduce, requires panic buttons in classrooms to quickly alert authorities during emergencies. She endorsed Kimmel, expressing confidence in her ability to continue and build on these efforts, WSVN reported.
Sharry Kimmel expressed gratitude for Alhadeff's endorsement, noting her commitment to students and the responsibilities of the role. Her campaign priorities include transparent decision-making and support for educators, as reported by Local 10.
