A Port St. Lucie man, Daniel Beyzer, has been arrested for impersonating a police officer and driving under the influence. On Tuesday, Beyzer used a white Cadillac with strobe lights to pull over another vehicle, falsely claiming to be an off-duty officer. The incident was reported to authorities by a 911 caller.

CBS12 reported that a body camera footage shows officers approaching Beyzer, while a woman stated, “he showed us a badge number and everything.” A DUI investigation revealed that Beyzer was impaired, with a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit.

According to WPBF, officers found a Smith & Wesson .380 caliber pistol, handcuffs, a badge, and an open container of alcohol in Beyzer’s car. He now faces charges of impersonating a law enforcement officer, DUI, and possession of an open container in a vehicle.

Police advise anyone who encounters a suspicious traffic stop to call 911. The investigation into Beyzer’s actions is ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone with additional information to come forward.
