
A fatal shooting occurred in the early hours of Sunday in the Powellhurst-Gilbert neighborhood of Portland, police and emergency medical responders have reported. At approximately 2:32 a.m., American Medical Response (AMR) was called to the vicinity of Southeast 134th Avenue and Southeast Harold Street to attend to someone reportedly not breathing. Upon their arrival, the person was discovered with gunshot wounds, according to the official statement from Pthe ortland Police Bureau.
Efforts to save the individual's life were unsuccessful, and they were pronounced deceased at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been released pending family notification.
