
A stabbing incident in San Diego's Midway District is currently under investigation by local authorities. According to a report sent by the San Diego Police Department and received via email, officers from the Western Division were dispatched to the scene at 3325 Midway Dr. #203 last Saturday after receiving reports of a stabbing.
As detailed by the SDPD Watch Commander's Log, when the officers arrived, they discovered a 49-year-old male victim with a stab wound to the left side of his chest. Lying on a bed in the hotel room, the victim was found. The injured man received first aid from the responding officers until medics took over, later transporting him to a local hospital, where his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.
The suspect in this violent altercation has been described by witnesses as a black male adult, dressed in a white jacket, blue jeans, and white shoes. Reportedly, the conflict arose at the door of the hotel room, which led to the suspect stabbing the victim and then fleeing the area on a bicycle along Midway Dr. As of the last reports, the suspect had not been located or taken into custody.
Western Division Detectives have taken charge of the ongoing investigation. The public is encouraged to assist in the effort by providing information if they have any.
