The St. Charles Parish Council will hold a meeting on February 9, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Courthouse in Hahnville. The agenda includes public hearings on several items, including the LA 18 Cast Iron Water Main Replacement and potential zoning changes.
According to the St. Charles Parish, one ordinance proposes reducing the contract for the water main replacement project by $85,019.76 (Change Order No. 1, Final, Project WWKS 113). The council will also consider revising legal descriptions for Council Districts 1 and 7 and rezoning Lot 15-A, Block 6 in the Mosella Subdivision from R-3 (residential) to C-3 (commercial).
Other items include a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement providing up to $200,000 from opioid settlement funds to support volunteer fire departments with emergency equipment, and a Professional Service Agreement with Huseman & Associates, LLC, for engineering services on an electrical replacement project at the SCP Courthouse, not to exceed $79,855.
