A teenage girl faces serious charges following a reported altercation in Boynton Beach which left a pregnant woman in distress. On January 19, police were called to a home on Southwest Fourth Avenue for a battery complaint, where they detained 17-year-old Victoria Webb, said to match the suspect description. In a statement obtained by WPBF, the victim described trying to separate Webb from a juvenile before being struck in the face and, more harrowing, kicked in the stomach. With the woman confirmed to be around six months pregnant, the incident's gravity is underscorely.
In talking to a juvenile witness, reports came out that Webb appeared agitated during the altercation, going as far as to impede the young witness's breathing. According to WPBF, upon her arrest, Webb acknowledged the victim's pregnancy but expressed a readiness to retaliate if she felt attacked first; however, police reported not finding injuries supporting her claims of being struck. During the ordeal, the victim was visibly upset, and crying, a deep concern for someone in her delicate condition.
With Webb now in custody, the Boynton Beach Police Department has documented charges of battery on a pregnant person and child abuse under Report No. 564846. The accusations, classified as felony offenses under Florida law, introduce a profound severity to Webb's alleged actions.
