One of the teenagers was airlifted to a hospital, and no further information about their conditions was available as of 6 a.m.

Local 10 also reported a significant police presence in the gated community following the incident. The report described police vehicles positioned about a quarter mile from the main road, as well as a tow truck located a block from the scene near other law enforcement vehicles.

Residents have reported previous disturbances in the community, referencing earlier incidents in the area. In an interview with Local 10, residents mentioned a prior shooting involving an Uber driver in July 2024. Opa-locka Police have not confirmed the sequence of events described by witnesses, nor have they released information about possible suspects or arrests, as the investigation remains ongoing.
