University City residents are advised of an upcoming infrastructure project near the LOCAL on Delmar Apartments. According to the city's announcement, contractor Budrovich will install a new water tap for the development starting the week of January 26, with completion expected by the week of February 2, weather permitting. Westbound traffic on Delmar Boulevard will be detoured via the North Loop, while eastbound traffic will remain unaffected.
The project will involve several activities, including the installation of safety barriers, pavement work, excavation, beam installation, and the pouring of new concrete. Work will also include modifications to the water main. Budrovich will carry out the project in collaboration with Missouri American Water.
Pedestrians and cyclists should be aware that the project may affect usual routes. The City of University City includes construction zone maps to inform residents about areas impacted by the work.
