Yesterday, the daily commute was disrupted by more than the usual traffic delays. A vehicle collision set a car ablaze at the notoriously busy intersection of Brotherhood Way and Junipero Serra Boulevard. The San Francisco Fire Department responded swiftly to the emergency call, which came shortly after 10 AM, according to their social media post.
Upon arrival, the firefighters had to quickly work to control the vehicle fire and rescue those possibly trapped inside. The rescue team managed to safely extract the individuals involved, with one person requiring rapid transportation to a nearby hospital due to non-life-threatening injuries. The Fire Department's post on Facebook indicates that the situation was contained, and medical evaluations were carried out on the spot for all parties involved in the collision.
The condition of the individual taken to the hospital has not been updated publicly, but the Fire Department's initial report noted that the injuries were non-life-threatening. As of the latest updates, the identity of those involved has not been released, and it remains to be confirmed whether any other parties were seriously affected by the incident.
