The Waukesha Fire Department is offering free smoke alarms and assistance with installation and battery replacement as part of Community Risk Reduction Week.
According to the City of Waukesha's Facebook post, over the past year, the department has installed 19 smoke alarms, helped with five additional installations, and distributed 721 post-fire door hangers with safety information.
Residents in need of a smoke alarm or help with an existing unit are encouraged to contact the fire department. The department will also provide daily safety information during Community Risk Reduction Week. More details are available on the City of Waukesha’s website.
