West Jordan is gearing up for a unique family event with the announcement of the Small and Tall Ball 2026: Dancing Through Life. Set for February 13, the event promises a night of music, crafts, and dancing, inspired by the themes from Wicked. As reported by the City of West Jordan, tickets for this experience will be available starting January 12th.
Adding a twist to the traditional dance event, West Jordan is also making strides in inclusivity by offering a sensory-friendly version of the ball for the first time. Encouraging guests to wear green and pink, the main event starts at 6:30 PM and welcomes guests of all ages, dressing to impress. At $10 per person, with tickets required for everyone over the age of two, the space is designed to be fun for attendees ranging from small children to their guardians will be present.
The earlier scheduled sensory-friendly session runs from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, addressing the needs of those who might find the main event overwhelming. This session includes no flashing lights, lower volume music, and other accommodations for reduced overall stimulation. It's not just dancing; there will also be crafts and sweet treats, offering very limited tickets at $5 per person to maintain a comfortable environment.
