Chicago police say the shooting happened around 9:23 p.m. in the 3300-block of South Western Avenue. A dark-colored SUV allegedly pulled up alongside the victims’ vehicle as they headed north, and someone inside started shooting. Roughly half an hour later, police say a separate shooting in the Back of the Yards neighborhood left a man dead, underscoring how multiple attacks hit the Southwest Side that night, as reported by FOX 32 Chicago. As of Monday, no one was in custody in connection with the Brighton Park attack, and Area Four detectives were leading the investigation.
