A quiet stretch of Woodlawn woke up to a grim scene early Sunday, after police discovered a 36-year-old woman shot to death in an alley off South Drexel Avenue. Officers responding just before dawn found her in the 6400-block of South Drexel around 4:30 a.m., and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released, and police said no arrests have been made.
