Ventura County firefighters pulled the two occupants from the wreckage, and they were rushed to nearby hospitals with severe injuries. Authorities have not yet released their identities, and officials said no one on the ground was hurt.

According to NBC Los Angeles, the crash was reported in a residential neighborhood near the 600 block of N. Las Posas Road, just north of U.S. 101 and a few miles northeast of Camarillo Airport. Fire officials said there was no fire at the scene, but crews stayed in the area to deal with potential hazards around the downed aircraft. Both occupants had to be extricated and were taken to local hospitals with what authorities described as severe injuries.
