Taco210Mexico slipped into the Cadillac Plaza shopping center on Blanco Road in October 2025 without much fanfare, but it did not arrive quietly. The family-run, counter-service spot is turning out bold Monterrey flavors alongside North Side staples, stacking machacado and chilaquiles next to San Antonio-style breakfast tacos, plus street tacos, burrito bowls and plate meals built with neighborhood regulars in mind.
From Monterrey to Blanco Road
Owner Jose Hernandez, who moved to the San Antonio area five years ago, said the restaurant started as a family idea, giving credit to his wife, Neree, for helping bring it to life. His favorite part of the job is getting out from behind the counter to talk with customers and watch them dig into their meals, as reported by Community Impact. Hernandez told the outlet the menu is anchored by carne asada, machacado and chilaquiles, dishes he specifically wanted to showcase from his hometown of Monterrey.
Menu highlights
The kitchen leans into a hybrid approach, mixing San Antonio-style breakfast tacos with Monterrey breakfast favorites, then stretching into burrito bowls and street tacos that run around $13, according to Focus On San Antonio. Local roundups also point to plates like steak fajita tacos and mini barbacoa taquitos among Taco210Mexico’s early offerings.
Where to go and what to expect
Taco210Mexico sits at 14357 Blanco Road inside Cadillac Plaza. The restaurant’s official website lists current hours, menu details and options for online ordering for pickup and delivery, and also provides a phone number for takeout. A neighborhood addition
Hernandez said he wants Taco210Mexico to settle in as a community staple while keeping the menu flexible, telling Community Impact that “people can come enjoy us whenever they want.” The shop offers complimentary chips and guac to diners, a small touch the owners say helps break the ice and welcome first-time visitors.
