Community engagement is on the agenda in Miami Springs as Miami-Dade County Commissioner Natalie Milian Orbis hosts a "Heart to Heart: Cafecito & Conversation" event. This casual get-together, slated for February 13, gives District 6 constituents a chance to talk about their concerns and share ideas directly with their commissioner.
Set at Twice As Sweet, a Miami Springs bakery and cafe, the meeting is a drop-in affair, running from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. "Constituents deserve direct access to their elected officials," Orbis said in a statement obtained by Miami-Dade's official news release. She added, "These conversations matter. Listening to residents over a cafecito helps ensure county government stays grounded in the real concerns of our neighborhoods."
There's no need to RSVP, and residents are encouraged to stop by to engage in dialogue regarding issues important to families, seniors, and the business community of Miami-Dade. While attending, the public will also enjoy complimentary cafecito and light refreshments, though it's noted that these are available while supplies last. For those unable to attend but still interested in connecting with Commissioner Orbis, her office can be contacted for more information or to relay matters of concern.
