The City of Coral Springs is stepping into the digital age with some audio flair by launching its own podcast, "Under the Sun," set to bridge the gap between city officials and the people they serve, the city's debut episode, ready to hit Spotify and YouTube on February 17, promises direct insights from the desks of those shaping the community's future, as per the city's announcement.
Described as a dynamic way to keep the public in the loop, "Under the Sun" will serve up regular interviews with a range of voices from elected officials to public safety experts, detailing the inner workings of Coral Springs' local government and discussing what "matters most to residents and businesses" Lynne Martzall, Executive Director of Communications and Intergovernmental Affairs, emphasized the podcast as a move towards greater engagement and education, looking to enhance the way the community interacts, with her ambition to fortify the bonds of trust within the city.
Offering more than just general discourse, the podcast is also branching into specialized content with two series: "Signal 14," focusing on Coral Springs Police Department topics, and "Fully Involved," which will delve into Fire Department matters, both falling nicely under the larger umbrella of the "Under the Sun" brand. City Manager Catherine Givens is set to be the inaugural guest, bringing to light the operations city mechanisms, the accomplishments under the city belt, looking into the crystal ball at future city projects and priorities, maintaining a connection to current events and relevant issues for the community.
