A Saturday trip to Acre Road in Marrero ended in deadly violence when a man was found shot outside a local business, according to Jefferson Parish authorities.
Deputies with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office responded to reports of gunfire in the 6300 block of Acre Road, where they discovered a man lying on the ground outside a business. He was later pronounced dead at the scene. Officials said he had suffered at least one gunshot wound.
According to WGNO, the victim was a Black man who was unresponsive when deputies arrived. The outlet reports that investigators had not released any suspect information or possible motive at the time of the initial briefing.
