Coral Gables is about to get a lot messier, in the best possible way. David Chang’s cult-favorite fried chicken concept Fuku is set to open a standalone restaurant on Miracle Mile on March 11, 2026, bringing its spicy OG Sando and a full lineup of chicken sandos to the neighborhood.
According to Fuku, the Coral Gables shop is listed at 135 Miracle Mile and marked as coming in March. The brand’s locations page also shows a West Palm Beach outpost slated for summer 2026.
Opening day details and freebies
Fuku is not easing quietly into town. On March 11, the restaurant will roll out an opening day activation meant to pack the house. As reported by the Miami Herald, the first 135 guests through the door will score limited edition totes stuffed with Milk Bar cookies, Fuku gift cards and branded merch. The festivities will also feature a vintage photo booth and on site T shirt screen printing, turning opening day into more of a block party than a simple ribbon cutting.
Menu, size and prices
Inside the roughly 2,000 square foot space, the menu centers on the OG Sando: crispy fried chicken, Fuku mayo and pickles on a butter toasted potato roll. It will be joined by the Miso Ranch & Slaw Sando, a Sweet & Spicy glazed sando, chicken tenders, waffle fries and party fries with toppings. Sandwiches are expected to land in the $10 to $12 range, and opening day desserts will come from collaborations with Milk Bar and Coconut Grove’s Fookem’s Fabulous, according to WhatNow.

Claudia Lezcano, Fuku’s CEO, called the Coral Gables debut “an exciting new chapter for Fuku,” while David Chang framed the move as “about bringing Fuku back in a way that feels authentic and fun,” comments shared with WhatNow. The company is positioning the Gables restaurant as the first standalone in South Florida and part of a slow and deliberate regional expansion.
Where it fits on Miracle Mile
The Coral Gables shop takes over the former Lien Bruno patisserie space on Miracle Mile, a block that has seen steady turnover and new concepts in recent years. Fuku has been hiring locally to staff the opening, and the brand’s careers listings show multiple Coral Gables roles and training sessions ahead of launch.
