A motorcyclist died last night in Fort Lauderdale following a collision with a vehicle on the 3200 block of North Ocean Boulevard. Fort Lauderdale police responded around 7 p.m., and the victim was transported by Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue to Broward Health Medical Center, where he later died, Local 10 News reported.

Southbound North Ocean Boulevard was closed after the crash, and drivers were advised to use alternate routes, according to the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Facebook page.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with a traffic homicide investigation. The motorcyclist’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
