North Nashville saw another burst of gunfire on Saturday when a dispute at a street corner turned violent, leaving two people with gunshot wounds at the intersection of 23rd Avenue North and Underwood Street, authorities said.
Both victims were taken to area hospitals, where they were listed in stable condition, according to WKRN. Investigators told the station they believe a disagreement escalated into shots being fired at the intersection. Metro police said the suspects fled before officers arrived, and officials did not immediately release any suspect descriptions.
The shooting is the latest violent incident to rattle North Nashville and feeds into ongoing concerns about public safety in the neighborhood. Similar episodes in recent years have prompted neighbors to push for more patrols and resources, as reported by WSMV.
