The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 095-43-01 will host a Boating Safety Class this spring at the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office. The class will be held over two Saturdays, April 25 and May 2, and covers boating navigation, safety, and legal requirements.

According to the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office's Facebook post, participants must attend both sessions to complete the final exam and receive a DNR Boating Safety certificate, required for anyone born on or after January 1, 1989, and for boaters ages 12-15 who want to operate a motorboat or personal watercraft without adult supervision.

The class costs $40 per person. Registration is available at gowild.wi.gov under 'Safety Education' by selecting "Boat (USCG)" and "Ozaukee" county. Seats are limited and early registration is recommended, as per the same post.
