
A family argument at a Scottsdale apartment complex near 68th Street and McDowell Road turned into a stabbing Monday late morning, leaving a mother with life-threatening injuries and her daughter also wounded, according to police.
Scottsdale officers were called to the complex around 11:30 a.m. and arrived to find both women hurt by what investigators described as a bladed weapon. Police said the daughter declined transport, while the mother was rushed to a hospital for emergency treatment.

According to KTAR, Scottsdale police said the dispute between mother and daughter began as an argument before it escalated into violence. Investigators told reporters the mother suffered life-threatening injuries and that detectives were in the early stages of their work at the scene.
