ResMed is steering a major chunk of its supply chain straight through Greenwood, staking roughly $30 million on a new distribution center just south of Indianapolis, according to company and city filings. The San Diego-based sleep-health maker plans to turn the site into a key Midwest logistics hub, bringing more than 100 jobs and shaving delivery times for customers across North America.
Project Size, Site And Investment
City records show ResMed intends to outfit a leased 446,500-square-foot building at 1415 Collins Road on roughly 45.4 acres. The plan calls for about $22.8 million in machinery and equipment and roughly $7.2 million in building and site upgrades. The company’s application lists 136 new jobs, an anticipated lease signing in October 2025 and a three-year personal-property tax abatement request tied to the investment, according to City of Greenwood.
ResMed Frames The Hub As A Supply-Chain Boost
In its corporate announcement, ResMed said the Greenwood operation will work alongside existing hubs in Atlanta and Moreno Valley and is expected to go live in 2027. The company estimates the added capacity will lift its two-day transit coverage across North America from about 75% to 90% and trim Canadian delivery times by roughly a day. “We’re proud to grow our U.S. footprint and invest in the local Greenwood community,” ResMed’s chief supply-chain officer said in the company release, as reported by ResMed.
Local Approvals And Incentives
To help seal the deal, the Greenwood Redevelopment Commission adopted Resolution No. RDC 2025-03, backing ResMed’s abatement request and sending a recommendation to the Common Council for final approval. The filing, submitted as a Statement of Benefits in July 2025, lays out the company’s investment levels, equipment timeline and hiring commitments that the city will track in future compliance checks, according to City of Greenwood.
What It Means For The Indy Area
Local business reporting has cast the plan as a roughly $30 million wager on Greenwood’s role as a regional logistics player and a fresh jobs engine south of Indianapolis. The move lines up with a broader run of industrial and life-sciences investment in the city, as noted by the Indianapolis Business Journal. Recent coverage has highlighted other seven-figure projects and expansions landing in Greenwood, including a roughly $30 million Endress+Hauser expansion that underscores the city’s growing appeal for manufacturing and logistics operations, according to WRTV.
Next Steps And Hiring
ResMed said it will coordinate with state and local partners as it moves from lease signing to build-out and hiring, with plans to staff the Greenwood hub using a mix of full-time and contingent workers. The company noted that its hiring pace and opening date will hinge on permitting, lease finalization and equipment lead times, and it expects to share more specific local hiring details as the project moves forward, per ResMed.
