The City of West Allis's initiative doesn’t merely mark the occasion but actively participates by celebrating the entrepreneurs who shape the local economic landscape, such businesses as Twisted Plants, a plant-based burger joint that has carved out a niche for itself; Bishop's Sweets, offering confections; and K&K Barista, bringing coffee culture to the forefront—all together serving as tangible examples of Black excellence in the trade sector. Alongside these are The Maids of Milwaukee, specializing in cleanliness and order; House of Diiamond, elevating the game in beauty services; and ALL THAT DAZZLES, which unsurprisingly dazzles with its array of fashion. These local establishments are being showcased to bring attention to the diversity and vitality that they contribute to the West Allis economy and community.
Not content with just championing eateries and lifestyle services, the city's acknowledgment extends to the foundational layers of formative learning with the West Allis Center For Early Education.
