West Palm Beach City Hall, the Mandel Public Library, and the Grassy Waters Nature Center will be closed on Presidents Day, giving residents a chance to plan around the holiday. Announced in a recent city press release, these facilities will shut their doors on Monday, February 16 to honor the federal holiday.
City services won’t come to a full stop, however, as trash and garbage collection will continue as scheduled. City Hall and the Grassy Waters Nature Center will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, while the Mandel Public Library will resume operations at 9:30 a.m. the same day. City governance doesn't skip a beat either. The Mayor and City Commission are due to convene the following day, Tuesday as well, but this time, the focus shifts from the holiday to the city's issues at hand. They'll gather at the familiar grounds of the City Commission Chambers at 5 p.m, the city's statement confirmed.
For more information on closures or city services, residents can call West Palm Beach at (561) 822-1200 (TTY: 800-955-8771) or visit the city’s website at wpb.org for complete details.
