
A domestic dispute inside the Centre Lake apartment complex in Biscayne Gardens turned violent early Wednesday when a woman shot her boyfriend, sending him to the hospital in critical condition, authorities said.
The man was hit in the right arm and rushed from the scene for emergency treatment, according to officials. Deputies detained the girlfriend at the complex, where law enforcement zeroed in on one particular unit while locking down the area.

The Miami‑Dade Sheriff's Office said the gunfire erupted during what they described as "a heated dispute" inside the Centre Lake apartments, which sit just off Interstate 95 near Northwest 7th Avenue, NBC6 South Florida reported.
Video from the scene showed a strong sheriff's office presence as deputies secured the complex and concentrated their efforts on a single apartment, according to the station.
