
A man was killed early Monday in a shooting along South Broadway in south St. Louis, according to police. Officers responded to reports of gunfire at about 1 a.m. and found a man who had been shot. Detectives have opened a homicide investigation.
Police told KSDK that officers were called to the scene around 1 a.m. and confirmed the shooting was fatal. The victim's name has not been released, and no arrests had been announced as of the station's report.
South Broadway Corridor Has Seen Recent Violence
South Broadway and nearby south St. Louis neighborhoods have been the site of several shootings in recent months, including a late-night attack in early February that left a man clinging to life.
