
A Sunday evening turned violent in Chicago's South Shore neighborhood when three men were shot while standing in a driveway, leaving two of them in critical condition and a third in fair condition, according to police. The shooting happened around 5:21 p.m. in the 6900 block of S. South Shore, and all three men were taken to the University of Chicago Hospital for treatment.
Police say
As reported by FOX 32 Chicago, a 26-year-old man was shot in the chest and remains in critical condition. Another man suffered a gunshot wound to the neck and is also listed in critical condition. The third victim was shot in the left arm and is reported to be in fair condition. Officers said they responded to the scene at about 5:21 p.m., and the victims were transported to the University of Chicago Hospital.
Weapons recovered and investigation
"Area One Detectives are investigating the incident," officials said, and police recovered one rifle and two handguns from the scene, according to FOX 32 Chicago. Investigators are continuing to process the area and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
