A Saturday evening crash at one of Clarksville’s busiest intersections left a motorcyclist dead and brought Fort Campbell Boulevard traffic to a standstill in both directions, police said.
The collision happened around 6:39 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the intersection of Fort Campbell Boulevard and Dover Crossing. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene, and the shutdown of the U.S. 41A corridor sent drivers scrambling for alternate routes while officers worked the wreck.
What officials say
According to a Facebook post by the Clarksville Police Department, the crash involved a motorcycle and a semi-tractor-trailer at Fort Campbell Boulevard and Dover Crossing.
Police said the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators from the city’s Fatal Accident Crash Team were sent to the intersection to process evidence and document the wreck. At the time of the department’s post, officials said there was no additional information available to release.
Road closures and safety context
The stretch of U.S. 41A where the crash occurred has already been on local safety planners’ radar. CUAMPO lists the Fort Campbell Boulevard and Dover Crossing intersection among locations with prior serious-injury crashes.
Local reporting has highlighted how frequently this corridor gets shut down after serious collisions, snarling traffic well beyond the immediate crash site and compounding delays across Clarksville. WTVF reported a similar Fort Campbell Boulevard closure earlier this month.
Investigation and next steps
Clarksville Police said investigators will continue processing the scene and working to determine what led to the collision, according to the Clarksville Police Department. The rider had not been publicly identified as of the time of the department’s statement.
Officials said they plan to release more details as they become available. This story will be updated when authorities provide additional information.
