
Yesterday's traffic along Green Valley Road in Fairfield took a tragic turn when a motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle near West Lake Drive, according to police. Fairfield Fire Department crews pronounced the rider deceased at the scene, and the Fairfield Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team responded to handle the investigation.
Officers shut down the stretch of Green Valley Road between Reservoir Lane and West Lake Drive while they processed the scene. Authorities said the motorcyclist’s name is being withheld until next of kin can be notified.
